When the root is deep,
There’s no reason to fear the wind.
Another ode to motherhood. ‘Rooted’ represents the grounded mother. Her body is firmly anchored, protected by the natural elements, while an aura of light embraces her. She honors both strength and calmness, unshaken by the potential storms, embodying a sense of rootedness and inner peace. Just as trees weather storms by the strength of their roots, we too find resilience when we feel grounded.
On the left a child is looking up at her, seperated yet close. Wondering yet steady. Curious, yet not hurried to know all the answers. It could be the inner or the physical child, representing the dynamics between ours and the next generation.
How can you draw strength from your inner resources, even when the world around you is in turmoil? How deep are your roots, and where do you find your stability? How can we create stability for the generations to come?
Rooted was first showcased at the UNNATI exhibition, held at Huis Dessert in September 2024. The exhibition explored evolution of the Soul through Art, inviting viewers on a transformative journey of self-discovery and inner growth.
