Cambium

Touch me
but you won’t find skin.
For I am not the bark
that faces the world
I am what moves
underneath
Warmth
Moist
Aliveness
I carry sweetness upward
without announcing myself
I circulate life
through soft fibers
and silent rhythms,
without erupting
or begging to be seen
I am a knowing
that does not seduce,
but nourishes
Open long enough
for life
to keep flowing
Cambium explores erotic intelligence as a sustaining force. It is not oriented toward climax or exposure, but toward the quiet processes that keep life moving beneath the surface.
Inspired by the phenomenon of cambium, the living layer beneath the bark of a tree where sap circulates and nourishment is distributed, the work centers on circulation rather than arrival, and on sustenance rather than outcome. Cambium is the fertile in-between where growth remains possible and softness resists hardening.
Although the image does not depict a body, it behaves like one. It is warm, fibrous and responsive, shaped by permeability, rhythm and flow.
Both Womanhood and Eroticism are understood not as identities, but as an intelligence of holding and moving at once: the capacity to remain open long enough for life to keep flowing.
Like gestation, this work resists speed and optimization, honoring the quiet architectures that sustain life without erupting or asking to be seen.
